Diumenge dia 3 d'abril, la parròquia de Sant Joan Baptista va realitzar un dels darrers actes de celebració del 40è aniversari de la parròquia al barri. Al migdia, l'església es va omplir de bat a bat, més de 500 persones que vàren venir a escoltar el concert d'un grup de gospel de la nostra ciutat i d'altres grups de Catalunya, uns 120 cantants ens van deleitar les oïdes amb cançons d'arreu del món.
En acabar el concert, tot el barri i la resta de la ciutat va estar convidat a un dinar de germanor, una paella gegant. No cal dir que la jornada va ser un èxit de participació amb tota la plaça plena dels colors de la felicitat, la música dels somriures que desprenien les taules amb els plats que va fer les delicies dels paladars de tots/es els assistents. Per tot això, i moltes altres actvitats realitzades durant aquest any festiu, des de l'organització d'activitats volem donar les gràcies a totes aquelles persones, grans o petites, que en un moment o un altre del 40è aniversari han estat col·laborant i ens han fet sentir orgullosos de la gent que formem aquesta parròquia.
